Welcome to the Smart War blog
I’d like to introduce you to the SmartWar.org, a blog dedicated to discussing modern war & intelligence collection from the point of view of a novice. In a few months, I’ll be pursuing an M.A. in War Studies at King’s College in London, so I figured this blog would be a useful tool for myself, fellow students, and other newbies in the field of war & intelligence.
I’m sure the role of the blog will evolve as time passes, but for now my goal is to highlight and discuss articles, books, and other blog posts about modern war, the intelligence community, and regional issues (especially the in the Middle East & South Asia).
While I’ll be writing under the name “the Student,” I’m not aiming for secrecy or total anonymity; I’m simply separating my real name from the blog. Send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, follow me on Twitter, and don’t forget to subscribe to the blog’s RSS feed. If you want to get involved and write for the blog, just get in touch with me so I can set you up with an account.
